- Foreign Faculty Hiring
This includes provisions for financial support related to various activities pertaining to attracting foreign faculty. Besides salaries, the scheme covers expenses incurred in travel and other related cost incurred in recruitment of foreign faculty.
- Conference Support
This covers the expenses related to attending additional conferences (subject to limit of 3 lacs per faculty member). IPDFs are entitled to attend one conference.
Upon exhausting support of Rs. 3 lacs, IoE fund support of Rs. 1.5 lacs for airfare and visa expenses will be provided to faculty members for attending one more conference.
Procedure:
1. Faculty submits the proposal for IoE funding under relevant A2 vertical for attending International Conference to the Head of Department (HoD).
2. HoD reviews the request and forwards the recommendation to Dean (FA )office.
3. Dean (FA) recommends the request to IoE Advisory Committee for funding consideration.
4. IoE Advisory Committee accords approval and sends an intimation to Dean (FA ) office.
5. After the completion of the visit, the necessary documents to be submitted to IoE office for settlement or reimbursement.
- Industrial Engagement with Industries
Expenditure related to recruitment of Visiting or Distinguished faculty members from academia or industry, as well as the appointment of Professors of Practice (PoP) are covered.
- Promotional Activities
This covers the travel expenses of officials or faculty members from IITB associated with promotional activities conducted in India and Abroad.
- Seed Funding for Collaboration and Partnership Projects
The SCPP is a component of the IoE initiative handled by Dean (R&D) office, aimed at fostering enduring relationships between IITB faculty members with foreign institutes, as well as accruing collaboration benefits to the Institute. The scheme encourages the faculty members who would like to start new collaborations to apply under this scheme. The approved fund may be utilized for travel, conducting workshop(s) with the foreign collaborator(s), thereby facilitating increased interaction between larger number of the Institute's faculty members with the foreign institutes and opening new collaboration avenues.

Expenditure involved in Collaborative visit/activities and Partnership events with International and National Universities handled by Dean (IR) office.
